Which format should you choose?
| Format | When to use it |
|---|---|
| WebP | Website and shop images — usually smaller than JPG at the same quality, so pages load faster |
| PNG | When you'll edit the image many more times, or need a lossless format |
| GIF | Compatibility with older platforms that accept nothing else |
| Animated GIF | Showing a product from several angles, simple steps, or a before/after |
Animated GIF ideas
- 3–4 product shots from different angles, one second per frame, for a product page or social post.
- Before/after images for a cleaning, restoration or design service.
- Recipe steps or assembly instructions in 4–6 frames.
If your phone photos have different dimensions, crop them to the same ratio first with Crop image so edges don't jump between frames.
Privacy and security
“Convert from JPG” runs entirely in your browser: your images and files are never uploaded and no copy is kept. Free, with no sign-up.
Tip: For lighter GIFs, use a 480 px width and 500 ms frames or longer.
